Jeff’s Post – Recovery Run and Bragging for Tamara!

My legs were still a bit sore this morning and I’m also dealing with that bruised feeling on the ball of my right foot but I wanted to run and decided to jump on the treadmill and see how things went….and things went well.  I ran 6 miles and it felt good.  For the first time in many many months I’m not waking up thinking about training for a marathon so it was nice to run just to run and not care about how far I went.

I also wanted to take a minute and brag for Tamara (because she won’t).  I’m so proud of her – She rocked the 8k in Richmond coming in 5th in her age group with a time of 37:22 (they had approximately 3700 runners).  She then proceeded to run another 12 miles or so carrying a bag, stopping, starting and running at paces there were all over the place just to try to keep track of me – not easy!!  I love seeing her at these events, she is in her element, she is so serious, so confident and has soo much fun!  Thanks Tamara!!!!

Staying warm in the Mariott lobby pre race.
