Tamara’s Daily Post – What I Stare At!

I am thrilled that my leg is feeling pretty good! From time to time I feel “something”, but I am confident I am just about healed. I took yesterday off from running and hit the bike on my trainer. I was able to get in 15 miles in 58 minutes (yup, that’s right!) and i enjoyed every mile! I miss my bike! I did have to adjust the bike computer several (yes, that is an SOS call) times – seems there is a short in the cord – but was so glad I had it because I love to see how fast I am going. I was able to get it up to 20.2 mph, but only for a short period of time – 17 mph is my comfort zone and 15 mph is optimum for watching TV. :) Jeez, did I mention I missed my bike?! Would love to find time to ride outside…before it snows…  So this morning I planned for a 4 mile run – and the clock seemed to get the best of me and I only fit in 3 miles. I thought it would be interesting to post what I stare at when I run at home on my treadmill in the mornings. I still have a baby monitor on my 17 year old daughter…kidding, she is only 6! But I probably will have a monitor on her when she is 17! She woke up around 3am-ish and crawled in my bed – even though she had a friend over for a sleepover. No worries – I have 2 monitors and 2 cameras! I normally stare at 1 monitor out of the corner of my eye while watching TV – this morning I had 2 set up. I could just see their tiny bodies laying in the beds while I ran – kind of made me jealous! As I run and watch the monitor(s), my goal is always to finish my run (and any after-workout) before Samantha wakes up. Many times she has shot out of bed ready to begin her day when I’m 1 mile into a run – or worse when I’m .25 away from finishing a run – because I can only stop exactly at an even number of laps. So today was a good day because neither of the girls woke up and I got my run in! Ok – I’m ready for Tuesday!
